  1. Unable to Connect: Windows is unable to connect to the automatic updates service and therefore cannot download and install updates according to the set schedule. Windows will continue to try to establish a connection.

    That was all that was in there - this is from Event Viewer by the way.
  4. Wireless Headphones now required for around the house use. Always fun shopping for electronics.


  5. I've been trying to find a good set of headphones for ages. Not sure what brand to go for either.


  6. Sennheiser RS120's are leading the way so far. Cool charging dock plus a 2 year warranty. Mainly going to be for TV use.

    They look great - I did see a pair of Sennheiser's the other day for $35 or so, proper headphones but wasn't sure whether popping down that much and getting mediocre sound quality out of them was worth it. I guess with MP3s you're not gonna get awesome quality but at least one would hope it was half-decent.

    There are the RS110's also but they lose the all black appearance, run on standard batteries and don't come with this charging stand that the RS120's have.

For my age, I've obviously been more of a discman boy, but I clearly remember listening to the War and Joshua casettes in my old father's WalkMan (it's still around here, and it was still working last time we picked it up)... Great machines they were. First real mobile listening device, lots of people born between the 60s and the 80s have grown up with a walkman besides them. Long live.
