  2. Got my Android installation deleted since the last update, but that bar didnt make that much sense to me.

    Is that the default clock widget or a custom one?

    Sorry if that's not enough, my intelligence is very little when it comes to phones.

  6. Android is top notch. iPhone-fans say it's crap because each phone maker can customize it since it's more or less open-source. But I love it. I start to hate Apple with their limitations and hate of Flash. An iPad without USB-connectivity is madness.

    iPhone fans hate the open environment 'cos limiting you to what they deem right is safe. The iPhone without a jailbreak is that limited - the little tweaks here and there are the best and they really make you glad you bothered to jailbreak. I don't wanna be the same as anyone else, give me room to change!!!

    I'll have to keep an eye out for a cheap Android phone. If I see one I'll grab it.
  9. I'm running Android 2.2 with HTC Sense on my HD2 and it's pretty awesome. Played around with Android before on my brothers Tattoo and was suitably impressed.

    Despise iPhones.

    Well i've been looking for some phones for my sister to consider and found a pretty decent deal on a HTC Wildfire in Argos.

    Yeah it's on Vodafone, but if you can get it unlocked at a decent price the worlds your oyster. Comes with a 3.2" capactivie touch screen, Wi-Fi internet, memory card expansion, Android 2.1 which combined with HTC Sense will give you that easy access to Facebook/Twitter, you'll have a pretty large market of apps to choose from and at 528Mhz processor, it's hardly a snail (for a phone at this price point).

    Owning a HTC HD2 myself (with a HTC Sense Android build) I'm going to be a bit more biased towards a HTC product. The only issue with the Wildifre is the screen's resolution, 240x320. My brother has a HTC Tattoo (predecessor to Wildfire) which sports the same resolution over a 2.8" screen and it's sometimes a bit fuzzy (this might be down to the fact that the Tattoo has a resisitive touch screen as opposed to capacitive and I generally fine capacitive screens a bit clearer)

    Let me know what you think/any more features you want and I'll check some more deals out for you.

  11. The wildfire is nice but Android (and particularly sense) are ruined with that low resolution. A Hero would be a better bet even though it is an 'older' device.

    Still can't fault the Blade for value. Still going to get another Nokia but it will be in addition to the Blade rather than replacing it.


  12. No probs, does look a decent phone. 3.5" screen which is same as iPhone 4. 800x480 resolution, so stuff should be crisp on screen. Wi-Fi connectivity etc.

    Also available in white.

    Agreed, the resolution isn't pretty on the Wildfire, which is a shame and a surprise when you consider that this San Francisco/Blade device has a better resolution and larger screen for less £.
