Instead of that, why not allow uncompressed WAV downloads for the same price. Either on iTunes I can buy an M4A album at less-than-decent quality yet buy one with uncompressed audio and a book for the same price, sometimes half of that price and it's a physical copy.

I could always download it for free in WAV as well but anyway...

Ipad 2 doesn't interest me at all. Thinness taken too far. The price drop on the original iPad does though. £329 for the 16gb wi-fi model.

Price drop very tempting....

Nothing more than a big toy. My girlfriend has one and she loves it, got loads of games on it, apps that help productivity (PDF reader, basic word processor). £329 is still too much for me to have considered buying one but then again I have no desire to own a device that does what the iPad does. If I'm up for a game I'd rather play on the Xbox or PS3. If I need to do work I'll use the desktop, if I want to check something online I'll either wake the laptop from sleep or use my phone (which is nearly half an iPad anyway in terms of screen size).

I'd definitely consider what you're going to mainly use it for before purchasing. If it's going to be something like 90% games then yeah, worthwhile investment since some of the games seem top notch and I'd rather play on a 9"+ screen then something like a PSP or DS. Web browsing experience is pretty good as well on the iPad, apart from the obvious flash issue but Skyfire gets around that most of the time.

Productivity is a big no in my opinion, unless you are willing to fork out for Apples office suite which looks good but I haven't tried it.

It will be perfect for my use case. Web browsing about the house when I dont want to take a seat at the desktop, catching up on rss feeds and a few games maybe. I was looking at the galaxy tab but it's marginally more expensive and offers less. I'll not rush into it though.

Motorolla apparently have a good tablet coming out but I only heard a glimpse of it of the news, not much on what it's capabilities and such are

I'm more looking forward to whether or not Apple can step up their act with the iPhone5 in May.

Quick problem, seriously doubt there's anything I can do anything about it though. Whenever I'm playing music from iTunes and I'm scrolling on a webpage the sound glitches and breaks up.

What exactly are they stepping up? Other than making it thinner and having a faster processor, I struggle to see what iPhone 5 will offer that 4 doesn't.

You are correct. It will have the iPad2 internals and maybe a better camera. That's about it.
