  4. Not in the UK, but I'd recommend anyone against getting one. Crashes, freezes up way too often and totally unreliable.

I know that doesn't answer your question, but...
  5. Starting to play with the N8 camera a little more. Starting easy on flowers etc. Nice depth of field (only worked out the technique). Sadly nothing to draw attention to in the foreground. The grazing cows had already moved on.

  6. Gerard, take a look at:
The N8 camera is better than most under-200€ digital cameras, it's over 3 months now since I got it and I'm still amazed how effing great it is (and I'm only speaking about the camera). I've got lots and lots of great pics lately, these are some of them:

  7. Bloody nice. It's better than ALL cameras simply because it will always be with you. It is a bloody great phone.
  8. I meant in the purely quality meaning of 'better', but absolutely agree with you, the final packacge is just perfect.
  9. Firefox 4 is out and working. The first glance reveals a cleaner and smaller interface, more like Google Chrome. I like it. Loading time has improved too, but I have only opened it once so far, so I can't really give an insight on that.
  10. Still slower than all other browsers (IE9 included).

I made the switch to Chrome a while back. Using IE9 for hotmail since pinned to the taskbar you can access a couple of features directly. Also you see a overlay in your taskbar on new mail.

For development I still use FF4 once in a while, but even that is becoming rare.
  11. Because Windows Help is fucking useless and I trust you guys way more.

Got a Windows 7 laptop at the moment, Windows Media Player won't play CDs I put it, nor is it able to rip them whereas it used to only a couple of months ago. It recognises the CDs and the tracks etc., e.g. I just put in a Corrs CD (judge me not) and it recognised the tracks, album artwork etc., but when I click on play, the playback 'timeline' icon thing, i.e. the bit that moves when you play music files, goes along, but I get no sound, and then after a moment a cross appears by the track name on the playlist bar, and it skips to the next track. When I highlight the cross, it says 'see error details', so I click on it, but nothing further comes up. I don't have any issues playing audio files e.g. music already on the hard-drive, bootlegs etc., but it won't play or rip CDs. I've yet to see whether I have the same trouble with DVDs, but at this point does anyone have any idea if it could be a software problem and if so, any pointers?

(I'm not ruling out something having been inadvertently whacked at some point of late, but can't recall any such moment)

    Tah in advance.
