I hadn't. Good suggestion - when I hook them up again I'll check that. But there's usually no hum with my other speakers, which makes me think when the microphone gave too much feedback it's damaged something inside the laptop itself. Not sure on that - I'll check.

I'll try that. I think I was just hooking it up via stereo input or whatever it is

Plugged into my mp3 player and it still was making that sound but I'll rule it out with different inputs. I might have to take them back if this is the problem - you reckon JB will let me return them within a few days if there's a problem or have to call up Logitech?

I'll check all suggestions and let you know how I got on. Thanks!

generally if its within 7 days u can swap them over or get store credit, and not have to go through the manufactuer at all. If theres a fault with them straight away then they'd be classed as "Dead on Arrival', so JB shouldnt give u too much hassel
  2. Does the jack fit fully into the socket? Sorry if a bit off track here but I haven't read the whole of the history here! I've bought units before where the plastic around the jacks makes it difficult to achieve a proper fit.
  3. Anyone else having trouble with the Expatshield program that we have recommended on the Glasto thread? I used to hide my IP before sucessfully, but this "UK masking" doesn't seem to work for me; the BBC's "Not available in your area" messagge still shows (and annoys the hell out of me)...

I've got it working here. You know you need to access the page you want from within the expat shield search page, right?

  5. Is that true? Well, I'm going to check it now, although it doesn't tell that in this video:

  6. It's the only way their products have worked for me. I've used Hotspot Shield quite a lot.
  7. Not available in your area

  8. It'll be your proxy getting in the way. Bummer. There'll be downloads pretty quickly once it's finished.

  9. hehe, yes, yes, I've tried different combinations of actions on my main browser (Firefox 5) and then on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. No results either.

Yes, it's a dynamic IP but it doesn't/shouldn't change unless I tell it to do (or I restart)... It wouldn't be a problem either since my changing IPs would be all SPanish, so they'd be blocked anyway.

The funny thing is that I actually do not connect through a chosen (by me) proxy, it's some weird stuff which I don't completely understand.
  10. Oh, wait, I got it.

I've done all the steps carefully, cleaning my personal ip while enabling Expate Shield, and the ACTUAL problem is that it assigns me this IP: 69.31.50.201

And it is located IN CHICAGO!!! That's why the BBC tells me I'm still a foreign! Then it's a problem with Expate Shield and not myself. I'll try to get it working for tonight...
  11. Desire S sold on ebay. Back to N8 and glad. Just need to start taking more photos.

  12. Here's one I took the other day. It's obviously not my hand but my girlfriend's. The photo is just perfect. As usual, zero editing has been done, and this time I didn't even resize it. The thumbnail links directly to the full size photo:
