    Did you go to system settings and pick the microphone for audio in?

    How did you try to use it? In GarageBand? If so, try to see if it works if you add an instrument with the plus sign in the low left corner, then choose "Real Instrument", then on "My instrument is connected with" choose "Built in ******** (whatever the program may call this in English, everything here is my translations). Then choose Mono if you want to be in both channels.

  7. Hey guys, quick questions specially from people in Germany.
    I'm going there tomorrow, will be staying there for a week. I want to know if there is a way to have access to 3G for this week? Maybe get a special kind of sim card or something without contract that will give me access to 3G? I need internet on my phone for this week...is there such a service there?
  8. Does anyone here use Nero Soundtracks? I want to use it to mix some shows together but don't want to be limited to separating a two-hour show into "parts" to fit on 80-minute CD's. In other words, how can I convert a "playlist" directly into mp3 format so I can play it on my ipod?

    I don't understand the "other words" but I do know how to avoid the 80 minutes limit on Nero Soundtrax. You have to go to Options, then 'Project properties' or something like that, then change the 80 minute value for whatever you want.

    Thanks for responding Sergio. I thought you might be able to help me here.

    I suppose what I meant was: Once I have created a playlist in Soundtrax (with allthe nifty edits, crossfades, etc.) do I have to create a CD BEFORE I transfer the project into a program like i-tunes (to play on my ipod) or is there a way that I can transfer my project from Soundtrax directly into itunes?

    If you want all the tracks mixed but in separate files, I'm afraid you have to burn it on a CD (or "burn" it to a virtual image) and later extract the tracks with a normal CD>mp3 ripper. iTunes can do that, for example.

    But if you want all the tracks to be merged into one big audio file, there's no need to burn it onto a CD: you can just do "File > Export to..." (Export, not Save) and there you can select mp3, wav or the audio format you like. That will encode your whole playlist into a single 80-minutes-long audio file which you can later manage with iTunes or whatever you like.
