    I haven't yet jail broken my iPad. I'm not missing anything though as far as I can tell, certainly not for my use case. It's a browsing and Sky Go machine basically and a jailbreak isn't going to change that. Did buy a mifi from 3 to bring it to the cricket with me though. Great purchase. Always regretted not buying a 3G iPad.

    I also half wish I bought a 3G iPad, but I'm using my personal hotspot on my phone now and it's working fine, just seems to be a a big battery drain for the phone. Already used 5% in about five minutes. Not a massive issue if I'm on the train because I can charge it up if I have my charger with me, but it's not that efficient. I can browse the net with the Opera mini browser and I have Facebook/Twitter etc on my phone, just nice to have it on the big screen. Wouldn't dare stream anything from Netflix or iPlayer though, will eat into my data like there's no tomorrow.
  4. Exactly why I got a mifi. 3gb for a tenner with usually fantastic speeds and because it's own device you don't have to worry about battery. Recommended.

  6. 50 quid with 1gb. Just top up as and when. I get 4-5 mb download speed and 1.2 up.
  7. what internet speeds to u guys get at home like with broadband/cable? I get a Max of 800kB/s if im lucky, Aus has shitty net

    Those who have the money to install optical fibers get up to 50mbps though. It's just that Spain has one of the most expensive internet services of all world (comparatively to the average salary of course).
  9. 25 mbps = around 2.5 MB/s max

    can get 120 mbps here, no fiber but cable. Fiber is not available unfortunately

    damn i should stop complaining then haha.

    our government is slowly rolling out a new network that gets speeds up to 90mb/s but my area wont get it for another year or 2.

    That's pretty much what I have. It'll get A LOT faster pretty soon though

I really am not bothered because my current speed is fine for downloading everything I want, and I only notice lack of speed when trying to watch streaming very-HD videos (1080p), so I simply watch them in 720p instead. The thing that bothers me is the slow upload speed (100-120 kbps max), which for example makes uploading a video to Youtube something reaaaaally boring - not to speak if the video is HD too...
