  1. what internet speeds to u guys get at home like with broadband/cable? I get a Max of 800kB/s if im lucky, Aus has shitty net

    Those who have the money to install optical fibers get up to 50mbps though. It's just that Spain has one of the most expensive internet services of all world (comparatively to the average salary of course).
  3. 25 mbps = around 2.5 MB/s max

    can get 120 mbps here, no fiber but cable. Fiber is not available unfortunately

    damn i should stop complaining then haha.

    our government is slowly rolling out a new network that gets speeds up to 90mb/s but my area wont get it for another year or 2.

I really am not bothered because my current speed is fine for downloading everything I want, and I only notice lack of speed when trying to watch streaming very-HD videos (1080p), so I simply watch them in 720p instead. The thing that bothers me is the slow upload speed (100-120 kbps max), which for example makes uploading a video to Youtube something reaaaaally boring - not to speak if the video is HD too...
  7. Youtube is too slow itself to serve 1080p at some times.

    Yeh uploading to Youtube is a pain, my Muse vids were going to take an hour each but most of them fooked up halfway through the upload.
  9. Is there no program for Windows that makes it easier? On Mac iMovie can upload directly to Youtube, and I think it does the encoding Youtube would do later. That makes the filesize smaller and the upload faster. Uploading on Youtube itself is one hell of a pain.

    Windows Live Movie Maker does it automatically, you can edit the movie and then just press "upload to youtube"... But it takes more or less the same time, because it if uploads the raw file without encoding (which also isn't possible anymore, it converts them to wmv anyway) it takes a hell of time to upload, but if it encodes them in order to make them smaller, it takes less time to upload but more time to encode... Hate
  12. Anyone know how to set up Homesharing so I can stream music from my PC to my iPad? Is it possible? I've turned it on in iTunes and put my credentials into the settings app, but I can't seem to find anything more than the music that is stored on the iPad itself...

    Edit: It's showing up in Music now, just won't actually play...
