It disconnected almost instantly when the device went to sleep and would not automatically reconnect when it as awake again.

Stupid gizmos I had a similar problem with the N8 a while ago, but it was whatsapp causing problems (I had phone>wifi priority instead of wifi>phone, so when I wasn't using it, whatsapp automatically disconnected me from the wifi). But it was my fault, not the device's, and the fix was 2 clicks away.
  4. Got the repair bill for the phone. A lot more than I expected.
  5. Very successful first day with the Huawei. How an S3 or a Oone X are worth 4 times as much as this is a mystery.

  6. Including service fee, replacement screen, etc? Yeah, it's awful that they ask 100 bucks or more for doing something that anyone can do at home for 20 or less...

  7. Really? I haven't used any since I have some kind of allergy to Android but have heard mixed reviews about the Huaweis... Good performance for the price but weak construction seems to be the general opinion.
  8. Not really in this case. It's does creak a little but the full glass front gives it a nice solidity and the rear plastics are of decent quality. Awesome considering the £65 I paid for it. During an ICS upgrade too apparently.
  9. 65 quid? Wow. You never fail to amaze me
  10. Yeah can't say I was expecting much less after going to three places and getting quotes of near the same price. Just hope I've paid for decent service and not a hack job - well given the phone company themselves recommended them I thought they can't be that bad.

Huwaei aren't too bad, that's the last phone I had. Not too fast, not too slow...really works quite well if not for the keyboard that was a little small. The only complaint I had about it.

How much did they end up asking you (if I may ask)?
