  1. Looking for a new laptop, mainly to browse the web, store a lot of music and movies and Photoshop. Recommendations?

  2. HTC Titan is lovely and the big screen amazing but I am having Horrid issues with signal strength. 2 bars max on 2 or 3G. Not sure if it's faulty device or bad design but I suspect a bit of both. The antennae are on the back of the phone and thecontacts on the battery cover. Poor. It is destroying the battery life too as the phone is giving all it's juice to whatever signal it can get.

    It's an eBay purchase so could be tricky to return so I might have to resort to flogging it on. What to replace it with though? Lumia 900 seems to be the only contender.

    Might want to consider a new windows 8 laptop, especially one of the hybrid ones that can be used a laptop or tablet. Or the MS Surface.
    If money isn't an issue tho, for the uses you have in mind, a Macbook would be a good choice as well.

    Well, it's too soon to judge Win 8 models, but I guess stuff from Samsung, HP and Dell should be fine. I would go with a Dell myself. This one seemed nice:

    And if it is a Macbook, not much to suggest there, just choose the size and go with it.

  9. Yeah, I'm sure more and more of those will be available. Might be a good plan to wait until my laptop completely dies.

    Although, the folding screen might not be that useful. So unless it is really thin and light-weighting, I would use my iPad. However, a laptop with touchscreen is great...
  10. I'm just curious how the real Win 8 performs on tablets, their weight and their endurance.The Windows 8 RT edition is much more limited and does not give you the opportunity to install any windows apps as we know them now.
  11. I like the look if the surface and Windows 8 in general. It's good to see a new approach to UI rather than static grids of icons. The Surface as a device seems awkward though with the 16;9 ratio. It just looks too damn tall. Throw in the lack of certain apps that I specifically bought the iPad for then its unfortunately a non starter for me. It looks like I'll be on the iPad for good which is annoying as Ape won't change it. A retina MacBook pro would be immense but ye cost is too much and I wouldn't use it to its full potential either.

    Still want to try a Nexus 7.

  12. it sure is...many of these hybrid designs were pretty awesome. I'm just not sure if Win 8 is that good yet.
