1. I'm just curious how the real Win 8 performs on tablets, their weight and their endurance. The Windows 8 RT edition is much more limited and does not give you the opportunity to install any windows apps as we know them now.
  2. I like the look if the surface and Windows 8 in general. It's good to see a new approach to UI rather than static grids of icons. The Surface as a device seems awkward though with the 16;9 ratio. It just looks too damn tall. Throw in the lack of certain apps that I specifically bought the iPad for then its unfortunately a non starter for me. It looks like I'll be on the iPad for good which is annoying as Ape won't change it. A retina MacBook pro would be immense but ye cost is too much and I wouldn't use it to its full potential either.

Still want to try a Nexus 7.

  3. it sure is...many of these hybrid designs were pretty awesome. I'm just not sure if Win 8 is that good yet.

It's a cool approach to icons and the same old interface. An interesting gamble for Microsoft to see how it pays off for them it will be.

    What's with the Yoda talk?
  6. Apparently it is a bastard getting a jailbroken iphone back to stock. Lumia 900 ordered. . . . In Stormtrooper white
  7. 900 that late? Windows Phone 7.5 / 7.8 will probably miss new apps. WP8 apps are not backward compatible. Although WP7 apps run on WP8.
  8. Is it me or does Gerard say 'New phone ordered' every week?
  9. Yeah, we use it to synchronise to Gerard's Mean Time a phone can hold out
  10. He just ordered two different phones on the same topic page

Not too worried at the moment. Got it cheap and 7.8 will give me an idea if I want to invest in WP8 when my upgrade comes up in 6 months. Not sure if i'm liking the look of any of the current WP8 flagships though. I'll skip on HTC in future leaving only Nokia. The 920 is a beast but i'll consider it at the time.

  12. To my credit the second one is to replace the first that was returned faulty.
