I've never found storage to be an issue. I keep next to no media on my tablets and stream most of my music and film. I could get enough money selling my mini to buy The N7. I'd be worried that Android on a tablet won't be much good. I'm not overly fond of it on my phone as it is. First world problems and all that.
Maybe I'm just a rookie, but shit, I hate the lack of functionality of Apple products and the iPad (I have an iPad 4 and the second last generation of iPod video) - will never buy another Apple product again.
That Nexus 4 price drop is great. Shame I ordered mine in February and got it for £239. However, they accidentally sent me the 16GB version instead of the 8GB, so I scored well there. The price drop almost indicates that they doing that to make way for the new Nexus 4, rumoured to be out sometime in October or November.
The 4 should have plenty of life in it yet. I could probably live with the 8gb now that I have all my music up in Google Play. If the 8x doesn't work out then I'll be all over it.

Apple has the best hardware out there, but surely the worst compatibility and accesibility out there too.
