So I bought one, told everyone around working then there was a flurry of staff buying one. We had 45 at the start of the day and ended with at least 15. As a department, we decided it would be funny to sell them all before the day actually begins.

I bought the old Nexus 7 from Tesco but for the full price as I didn't have a staff discount card at the time. The new one I got for £149 because of staff discount, a £20 coupon that was online, and vouchers that I had remaining.

I think I've done pretty well

Glad you're enjoying the Nexus, Chris! It's a fantastic device.

hahahhaa I knew that your work in Tesco had something to do with it. Good boy.
  2. I don't really use epubs, so I wouldn't be able to recommend one.

Well i like Android So i am biased :p

Can you not use the Kindle app? That's very good.
  5. Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it, but it seems it cant open epub :/ Will try to convert to other format and see how it works.
  6. Thinking of getting a Chromecast. I bought my TV before the Smart TV prices reduced. It still has a very good panel so I'm not keen on buying a new one but chromecast will allow me to easily youtube and Netflix.
  7. Opinions on iPhone 5C? Could a cheaper version do harm to the Apple brand?

I need a new phone and the 5C is high on my list, but wouldn't buy the 5 or 5S.
  8. The 5c is unlikely to be overly cheap so I don't see no harm to Apple. It won't lose any features of the iPhone experience. Good deals to be had on the 5 as it looks like it isn't be discontinued. I'd be more inclined to get a 5 for the nicer materials.
  9. £469 entry price for the entry level 5C. Oh dear.

Not long to wait for iOS 7 at least. I can't stand the look of it. Will try it though but could be Nexus 7 time.

And that is supposed to be cheap? Oh, Apple, you're so cute.
