1. Anyone here experiencing trouble with iOS7 and the music player? All my songs have track numbers, artists, albums, disc numbers etc, but every time I go to the library on my iPad the albums track list is way out of order. Some times it's fine, but mostly not. Anyone know of a solution?

And no, it's not on shuffle
  2. Some have reported bugs/freezing while trying to rewind a song, so I guess the whole music player is mostly screwed up
  3. Yeah it's pathetic. I want to listen to an album start to finish and it may as we'll be on shuffle.

    No wonder I love android
  4. Not sure if it's been asked recently, but can any body tell me what the best video converter (I am looking to go mkv>mp4 in HQ) is at the moment?

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: I just saw VLC can convert files - how is the quality of that?
  5. I use Format Factory (freeware) for all my conversions, including audio, image and of course video. It offers a million of customizable options, or just a "on the go" conversion, and it's reliable (never froze on me). I recommend it to you.

VLC can convert between formats, you're right, but I never tried it. I guess it's not customizable at all, and it automatically adjusts the resolution and bitrate. I might be wrong, but I would go with a dedicated piece of software for that.
  6. I still use handbrake. Always found the results to be excellent. On what device will you be playing the videos?
  7. Whichever the iPad it is that (was the first to have) has the new lightning jack? My old man gave it to me and I have no idea which it is. But I do like to watch the videos on it in the highest quality I can

Also, germy, can handbrake convert batches of files (ie a whole season) at once?

    Cheers for the advice guys
  8. No idea about Handbrake but FF surely can, and also lets you choose different or same settings & output folder for each of them.
  9. Handbrake can yes. It has presets for iPads too with all of the correct settings. Aren't there apps for the iPad that will play most file types without conversion?
  10. Yeah, many programs include direct xxx>iPad/iPod/mobile/bla bla conversion with the right settings. Siutable for lazy or noob people.

No idea, but I would rather convert a few files over night than pay for the app, especially considering android does it all built in anyway
  12. I read that VLC for iOS will come back shortly. That should suffice in the future, although on Android VLC is sucky compared to MXPlayer.
