1. Yes, sadly. Left it in my work trousers *Face palm*

I have insurance, was just trying to avoid using it. I might ring Orange and see if there's anything they can do.

    Thanks for the replies guys

My bet is that it has died, sadly for you. But good luck. Leave it rest in rice (lots of) and best of lucks. I went into the sea with a phone and a camera and both survived after a week drowned in rice. The phone was a Nokia though

Ten years ago my mother had a Samsung phone that fell into the well and was left there for 8 months. When we pulled it out, it was for about 24 hours on the heat, and worked perfectly for another year or two. I swear, this is a true story. O.o

  3. That was from the age mobile phones were designed to call and take a hit. Now if you just look too harsh at your phone the screen will crack!

Although I must say my old Lumia 800 looks really well for a 2 year old phone! The Lumia range is very durably made, it may not contain 'premium' materials (read scratchy aluminium), but its much more appropriate for a phone!

My guess about Dan's phone is that it wont work, it *could* be fixeable if lets say only the battery died. Even when you get it too work, issues caused by water damage will resurface eventually.

  8. Is anyone an audio expert there? Or knows a lot about audio?

I just done a phone interview and it has went pear-shaped. I was admittedly under-prepared and used an app to record the phone call. Unfortunately the other end, which is needed most for the content, is very quiet – to the point where it is almost unlistenable. I need this asap so I can write it up as I need to get it back to a PR of the band I interviewed. Is there anyone who can work on it and see if they can bring some of the sound out? It would honestly be much appreciated. I'd buy you a drink but I suppose we would be a bit far away.

    Cheers.
  9. Is it just saved as an mp3 or equivalent?
  10. MP3 unfortunately.
  11. Hmm probably needs more experienced hands than mine to have a crack at it. Do you want me to try anyway? Can't make any promises it'll be much use.
