She's got this book in pdf format, and the file doesn't allow her to print it, no printing permission that is. She wants to know if there is some software could make it print...
    any ideas?...Drew?

G'day Ali! I've used FoxIt in the past which bypasses protection on .pdf documents.

FoxIt actually seems better than what Adobe Reader, mainly because it doesn't have so much crap nobody is unlikely to make use of.

Excellent solution. But any device with a lithium ion battery is at risk of overheating - and they're not likely to get better any time soon.
  4. I always have this weird problem when I'm on my iMac and trying to post here on U2start. I'll post in a forum, click the "Post a reply to this topic" button, and then nothing happens. It partially loads the next page (with the band members header at the top) but that's about it. It won't load any more U2start pages after that unless I quit the program and reopen it. I've had this problem with both Mozilla and Safari. Any ideas?

No problems when I use my Windows laptop....
  5. Check your cookie settings for both Safari and Firefox. Also check the Javascript settings.

I'm pretty much clueless on this iMac. What am I looking for in those settings?
  7. For Mozilla Firefox, I think it's the same on Mac, Windows and Linux. Safari should be similar.

    Javascript / Java Settings:

Tools > Content > Javascript; tick the box to enable Java and Javascript. Advanced > tick all boxes.

    Cookie Settings:

Tools > Privacy; tick the box to accept all cookies from all sites. Exceptions > u2start.com > Allow.

Tools > Privacy > Keep until they expire.

Then click OK, shut down the browser and reload the site. Do other sites work or not?

No dice. Same problem, and it says "waiting for u2start.com" in the bottom left corner of the window.
  10. Wait a second......I think it works now.

    EDIT: Nevermind.
