I'm pretty much clueless on this iMac. What am I looking for in those settings?
  2. For Mozilla Firefox, I think it's the same on Mac, Windows and Linux. Safari should be similar.

    Javascript / Java Settings:

Tools > Content > Javascript; tick the box to enable Java and Javascript. Advanced > tick all boxes.

    Cookie Settings:

Tools > Privacy; tick the box to accept all cookies from all sites. Exceptions > u2start.com > Allow.

Tools > Privacy > Keep until they expire.

Then click OK, shut down the browser and reload the site. Do other sites work or not?

No dice. Same problem, and it says "waiting for u2start.com" in the bottom left corner of the window.
  5. Wait a second......I think it works now.

    EDIT: Nevermind.
  6. Hmmmmm....sounds like a system config setting is stuffed. Not sure what, though.

You might want to try another web browser in the meantime like Flock (www.flock.com) or Opera (www.opera.com)

Hold on a second. Are you using Mozilla or Firefox (they're two different things).
  8. Now that I remember, Firefox can load in an isolated sandbox type mode.

Where you load Firefox up, there are two entries; Firefox and Safe Mode. Try Safe Mode - it could be an add-on or Firefox enhancement stuffing around.

I'm in Firefox. How do I load it in safe mode?
  10. I've never done it on a Mac before but apparently here's how you'd do it:

On Mac OS X, go to Utilities (in the Applications folder) and open Terminal, then run (for Firefox):

    * /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -safe-mode

Okay, I got this window that says:

Firefox is now running in Safe Mode, which temporarity disables your custom settings, themes and extentions. You can make some or all of these changes permanent:

    Disable add-ons
    Reset toobars and controls
    Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults
Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults
    Restore default search engines.

I really don't care about extentions or bookmarks, should I just select them all?
