Sennheiser are by far the best headphones I've ever used. They just have so much depth and clarity .... wouldn't go for any other brand.

Yes, can't see why not. Just select the external drive as your browser/torrent download folder.

There will be no difference in FPS and image quality?

If the external drive is fast enough and connects by USB 2.0 or faster, there shouldn't be any problem. I have ran many games from my external hard disk throughout the years without issues.

All the research I've done regarding headphones pretty much agrees with this. The only question was determining which line to get into. I chose the HD 558s because all the reviews pointed to them as a best set of intro-to-audiophile headphones. For under $100, I'm really liking them. They are super comfortable for me to wear with my glasses, which is a huge huge plus.

I'd be loathed to lose the camera but even it is under used. I'm looking at a 32gb Nexus 5x. I'd be losing a bit of RAM but Im hardly a power user these days so 2gb should be sufficient.

I've heard that the 5X does have some performance issues due to the 2GB of RAM, but really that's more a software issue. The phone should know when its time to kill background apps. Hopefully they'll get that fixed.
Don't worry about losing the camera. That's the 5X's saving grace. So far as I'm concerned the 6P/5X have the best camera on a smartphone.
