Aha, I'm guessing you're not aware of the thing young kids do when you get a couple of paper cups, join them with a piece of string and use them as walkie-talkies? No, I don't understand the logic behind them but I guess it's cheaper for parents than having to get hold of handheld radios for their children to break them lol...

...basically, I was saying that you don't seem to be satisfied with simple technology, unlike myself

My phone is outdated, considering how science has come in the last 3-4 years, but I don't care because I just want it for texting and talking lol.

I am not of that mind frame, I am a "electronics engineering" student for god's sake!...but I don't want a $600 phone either!

  5. A question: I tried to copy the Chicago DVD this afternoon, but DVD Shrink says the resulting VOB-files (Audio and Video_TS) will be too big to burn on a DVD! So is it possible that the Chicago DVD is bigger than 4.7GB or is there something wrong?

I can't be compressed any further, it's stuck at 4.9GB. And I don't wanna compress. I copied Paris too and that once gave me a big VOB file which Nero couldn't handle with burning. So I gave Shrink the order to produce an image (.ISO) of it, I burned it with Nero and so I got it. Dunno if that will help with Chicago.

did you split it into 1 GB chunks?

could Chicago be a dual layer DVD?

Nope, maybe that will solve it. And about the dual layer...I really don't know..
  11. Official DVDs are really big (5, 6 and even 7 GBs), but NOT dual-sides at all. They have simply lots of extra info on a single disc. You'll have to remove audio channels, extra contents or sacrifice a bit of the video quality (you won't notice it, trust me).

it will be dual layer and probably in and around the 7gb mark. Google DVDshrink. I'm sure it can split each layer to allow you to burn it on to 2 discs or else you are gonna need a dual layer burner
