1. Originally posted by drewhigginsI think you can hold Ctrl and click each folder, then choose Play with Windows Media Player. That solved that exact same problem for me. WMP also has an issue where if it finds different metadata (album, artist, year etc) it won't play the lesser files with the different tags. Alternatively, select both folders and drag into the Media Library, and they should play.

Will give it a go Drew, cheers for the tip

The router should work with XP / Vista - we run a combination of XP Home SP1, XP Pro SP2 and Vista Basic. Regarding T-Mobile, their website seems hard to get around - no wonder you couldn't get a clear answer, if their site sucks.

Easiest way to tell on XP for installed service packs is click Start > Run > winver. Then it has 'Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp : Service Pack), so tell me what that says and I'll be able to help you. About wireless networks and routers, SP1 and SP2 both do wireless well because we're running a desktop, laptop and my own computer runs Vista Home Premium - so it all works well. For the XP systems, make sure you download and install a decent firewall - XP's one is terrible and you can hardly configure it.

Drew, I'm soooooooo sorry it took me so long to respond. Thanks you. Its SP2, and I just installed a Webroot Firewall. However, it says "Webroot Desktop Firewall"....... does that matter, or is this one fine? I'm not sure the difference would be

  3. Don't worry about how long it takes.

The firewall would more than likely turn off the XP firewall - you shouldn't have two firewalls running because of apparent conflict (I've yet to see evidence of this as I run two) but Webroot is more than good enough (better than XP's version).]

Actually, I have a question: Anyone with an iPod touch, how the hell do you get your songs transferred from it? Unfortunately you can't mount it as a removable disk drive or USB drive, so how do you go from there - and iTunes still doesn't let you drop and drag your own songs - so that's out of the question. On firmware 1.1.4 - modded.

Thanks Drew!! As for the iPod Touch, I have one, but don't know exactly what you mean by "transfering" songs from it......... do you mean syncing?

Like say you lose some songs from your computer, like you delete them on accident and the Bin serves no purpose, how would you copy them back?

Like iPod > PC? Synching means copying to - which I don't want.

That's all I get with the touch plugged in.

hmm....... I know what you mean, and I've done that before. Unfortunately, I have no clue how to do it. I think it only works with iTunes Store Purchases though. Anyway, I know that it works with those, but I've never been able to do it with anything else. Sorry, I'm not the best of help around here, but I'm sure that someone else will coma around

No problems - just wondering if someone knew, because I forgot to back up all the CD rips.
  8. PS3 then. . . . Can't wait for mine

  9. Indeed. I want to have all the old stuff again like Gran Turismo, Silent Hill, Tekken, Metal Gear Solid. Top quality games.

I dunno...I've seen the Wii, 360 and the one thing that worries me about the 360 is some people have had to return theirs up to 12 times because of them overheating and eventually got a refund. But I've got a PSP now, and it might be an idea to charge it - which I haven't done in a long time.

Hey, did you ever see this on large images?

  11. What a simple but great idea. Fucking iTunes fucking around again.

Plug in my touch and it shows no music, re-plug it in and it's all there. What a weird program. I do like the fact that it doesn't look like this:

    Instead looking like this:

All the icons it has are Installer, Summerboard, iPod, iTunes, Safari, Settings. That's it.
