1. Does anybody else feel that these songs are some of the best U2 has ever made? I think these songs are really underrated and it's shame they were performed only a few times ever (If God WSHA strictly speaking, only once).
I think these songs have got excellent lyrics and mood.
Babyface's got that cool Bono's voice mix and subtle flowing melody, just give it a listen!
If God WSHA again has got cool melody, the lyrics are gorgeous, and the general mood is really fascinating.
  2. i'm a BIG fan of both babyface and IFGWSHA

among other things, both songs are very subtle, dynamic, and have incredible production. indeed underrated.

great point! glad you brought this up.
  3. I really like Babyface, it's one of my favourites off Zooropa (along with Zooropa, Stay, Lemon and Dirty Day). It was never done justice live in my opinion.
I've a feeling we may be in the minority though....

IGWSHA never really grabbed me on Pop, but I do really like the single version. As with the vast majority of that album, it is underated by most fans (although less and less here) and the band itself. If I listen to Pop I do my own version using the single versions of Last Night on Earth and IGWSHA and the Best of 90-00 versions of Discotheque, Staring at the Sun and Gone. Please stays as the album version as I prefer it to the strings single release. This makes it a stronger album from my point of view and very listenable.
  4. Agree about IGWSHA - great song!
Disagree about Babyface - sorry. Not my cup of tea.

  5. if god ... is one of the best songs ever. however i think babyface it's one of the weakest i don't like the lyrics that much.

Does the single version of IGWSHA differ a lot from the album one? I've never heard it.

Quite a bit, yeah. I'm not good at describing how exactly but it just sounds quite different to me.

Should be on iTunes under the Complete U2

Pretty certain it's the single version as some of the promo material (video's etc) contain shots of the film. Can't be 100% certain though.

    Edit
Damn, seems Noam beat me to it!!
