  3. These are a couple of photos of the quite boring town where I live (well technically I'm in a village in the town, and it should technically be a city but we lost out for some reason). I'm not sure about sizing of posting images on this forum so I'll just provide links

A view of some of the town center and one ways out of the town

In that one if you like bottom right theres a small spire like thing inbetween a white building and a tree, which happens to the be the public toilet which was formerly a pub, a pub which was bombed by the IRA, which had a film created about 4 suspects of the bombing and that film happened to be called 'In The Name Of The Father'. Need I say more?

That's a photo of it from near the downs (a series of hills in this part of Surrey)

And that's our castle. Where they got the good weather from I do not know
  4. Nicktheidiot - which village are you from? My wife's from Westcott, near Dorking. Not a million miles from there!

And you didn't show the glorious cathedral with the golden angel that was used in the Omen film (can't think why .........)

I'm from Burpham which is a couple of miles from Guildford town center, and I'm quite familiar with Dorking. Along with Woking and Godalming it feels like our neighbour of sorts

And heres a night time image of the cathedral http://www.frrarchitects.co.uk/pages/guilford.jpg and despite the uber cool Omen-ness of it I'm not keen on it. The thing is a dreadful power waster being lit up so much for so long at night. And all my life I've been told it's what Guildford has that should make it a city, yet we have it and we're still a town It does hold a soft spot in my heart though from the late night drives home from visiting relatives and parents friends just before you enter the town from a certain route when you can see it in the distance, makes me feel home
  6. Hi everyone
Thought I would post some pics of where I live!
Would be fun to hear what you all think

edit: changed the last pic for a better one.

WOW!!!! That mountain range in the back is fantastic!

  8. Wow, Sao Paolo looks amazing. Tehran is nothing like I imagined, to be honest, I was expecting it to have white sand etc, but that's my ignorance. And there are some other very nice looking places here.

I might gather some photos to post up here later tonight. Not promising anything as beautiful as the places posted here but hey.

  9. A sort of fishing-town it seems. Familiar to my place, except the mountains and hills.

  10. I live in Atibaia, just 60Km away from Sao Paulo:

This is the view from the top of Pedra Grande (Big Rock), a kind of mountain we have here.
