1. All right, well I was just listening to "Desire" from the 93/8/28 ZooTV Dublin show and was thinking how different it sounds from the original, but how much I really enjoy it. What versions of songs have you heard that sound much different from the original but you like just as much?

Another example: I enjoy Edge's "Sunday Bloody Sunday" at PopMart Mexico. You'd never think to do an almost acoustic version of it, but I think it sounds great.
  2. Anything from POP, including Miami - great album and even better when played live. All I Want Is You (particularly in South America) and the studio version.
  3. The acoustic versions of Please from the Elevation Tour.
  4. The version of Stay done with Craig Armstrong

And I agree about the acoustic SBS and Please.
  5. ISHFWILF and Angel of Harlem from Washington DC'92 - Zoo TV. Like the different drums..
  6. 40 seems like an obvious one. The album version yikes! I am really into the acoustic Yahweh. It is a very powerful song when stripped down to its essence.
  7. agree that "Desire" took a great direction during ZooTV. i tend to seek that one out often. i think "The Fly" took an interesting direction during the Elevation and Vertigo tours. i love the guitar arrangement of UTEOTW on the "soundtrack version" - found in the "boysenberry" fruitleg. for an interesting alternative drum part to "sunday bloody sunday" - look for the "clementine" fruitleg..... and i am intrigued by songs that are essentially 'predecessors.' for example, 'xanax and wine' = 'fast cars' and 'native son' = 'vertigo.'

  8. the live performence of the wanderer. i disliked this song on zooropa but when i heard it live it was amazing, you think it's completely a different song.

Agree 100% - Mofo is so much better live...
  10. I Fall Down is much better live. Never thought I'd like that one.
  11. Love and Peace for me..don't really like the studio one, live is so much better.
