1. From another interview with Dallas Schoo:

Any new guitars that you're dealing with?

"Mmmm…There's this '64 Epiphone Casino that he uses on the opening song Breathe; that sounds pretty nice. Then there's a Fernandes Sustainer that he uses on a new version of Ultra-Violet."

I remember you were trying to get them to play that song again for the longest time.

[laughs] "Yes, I love that song! For years I've been asking them to do it again. Of course I don't know if I can claim credit for them putting it back in the set or whether they just figured it was time. But they are, and the Fernandes sounds incredible on it."

    (complete interview)

Personally I don't expect an AB remaster anytime soon so I don't think bringing UV back in the setlist has something to do with it. Whether Schoo was an influence is unclear. Don't think they'll ever play God Pt II again though.
  2. God Pt 2, listened to it today and thought: 'They won't play that one again'. Maybe I was wrong..

  3. I remember how we were joking about a possible UV comeback...

  4. Me too,

i'd say a better argument is, remember when we were joking about a return of the unforgettable fire cause we thought bono couldn't sing it anymore. Which is my main concern with God Part II

Regarding UV, I like the current version even more..can't say that about TUf though. I love they brought it back after all these years. But the version from the Joshua Tour is still the best imo. The guitar is more prominent and the song is alive and complete.

I agree totally, Love the Joshua Tree versions, Brussels is just unreal

  8. Brussels is the best IMO too.

And Casper's bang on. JT rules 360. More passion in Bono's voice and he stays true to the chorous.

But back on topic - anyone had any luck translating the end of that second verse of UV?
