    Glad they brought UV back though, didnt get all the fuzz about the ZooTV versions, but its one of my favs now

    I think the ZooTV versions were just okay because it was a new song and people were merely satisfied with the performance of it; it wasn't a jaw-dropping "oh my god" moment. On 2009-06-30, they hadn't played the song in ROUGHLY 20 years (something like 17), and the visuals that went along with it were absolutely stunning, though the only thing "crazy" about them was the laser-suit. The fog/mirrorball/lighting was just too perfect. It has absolutely been perfected.
  2. Slightly new direction- does anybody know- either like, actually know, or know where I could FIND- the 360° intro script? I can't understand what's being said in these bootlegs. Clearest one I have is 2009-08-15, Wembley.
  3. Intro script ?

    Funeral Blues

    Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
    Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
    Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
    Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

    Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
    Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead.
    Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
    Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

    He was my North, my South, my East and West,
    My working week and my Sunday rest,
    My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
    I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

    The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
    Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
    Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
    For nothing now can ever come to any good.

    W.H. Auden

    Not sure how much of it they use, but I think thats it

  6. Like whatever's being said through the PA while those red/blue/(ultra)violet squares rotate around the screen, during the encore break. Think it's what jofice posted above, though.

    Thanks jofice!

    Think about it- they moved from Zoo Station/The Fly/Mysterious to variations like The Fly/Until the End of the World/Mysterious, opening the encore with UTEOTW, etc...maybe this time we'll see variations on Zoo's encore like Ultraviolet/Lemon, or Daddy's Gonna Pay/Ultraviolet....it's really not THAT implausible. If they're keeping the encore short, they only have to re-learn 2 or so new songs to rotate around about 6 different possibilities for an encore.

    I would bet everything i own they never play "Daddy" again lol. That said i could go for a fuzzed out zootv version of Desire again or most importantly Love is Blindness
  8. No problem call me Joe btw

    I'd love to hear Daddy's Gonna Pay again, but it just would seem strange coming from the band at this point. Still love the song to bits though.
  10. Ultraviolet? The highlight of the tour for me.
  11. And I loved that they had Auden's Funeral Blues before it. Beautiful.
