1. My dealings with U2.com

    "As we did last year, we will be announcing the special 2018 subscribers gift in the New Year... but also we are working on one special music surprise for renewing subscribers before the end of this year."

    This was a comment you posted when renewals were sent out in November. It seems with only a few hours to go before New Year it hasn't been honoured. This isn't a surprise to many fans.The subscription from u2.com is seen by many fans as a bit of a joke- only taken seriously by us with the potential of applying for tickets. As a long time subscriber i am very disappointed to not receive my gift for 2017 until 2018 ( i hope) and the gift for 2018 hasn't even been released even thou we all re subscribed weeks ago. I view U2 as the biggest and best band however this part of their membership needs to be addressed. A few years go you asked fans what they wanted for tracks for the latest gift. Surely engaging with fans should be someones priority within the organisation. I await your reply with anticipation

    Upon further review, it appears that we are still waiting for your gift to ship. We apologize, as we are working hard to ship all of the Joshua Tree vinyls. As for the 2018 gift, I assure you, once that information has been released, you will know. This information will be on the U2.com website and forums. I apologize for any inconvenience.     Hi Rishonda- many thanks for your prompt reply. Thanks for the clarification regarding the 2018 gift- it still is disappointing that the 2017 gift which was supposed to be sent in autumn 2017 will arrive in 2018. If you think about it it isn't great customer service. However your reply still doesn’t answer about the special music surprise before the end of year either. Is there one or not?

    In the grand scale of things its not a massive issue but when all taken together it means that U2 fans don’t take the website/ subscription seriously and feel its a bit of a joke in the way they are treated. Not your problem i know but still its not great customer relations when all this is added together.

As of right now, the Vinyls have not been sent out yet, but it is on the process of being shipped. We have not received any details to an exact date to when they will start shipping. Not to worry, a shipping confirmation email will be sent to qualifying subscribers as soon as this special gift hits the mail. Please be advised it can take from 4-6 weeks for domestic orders to be processed, printed and shipped. International orders can take 6-8 weeks depending on the shipping time. If you do not receive your items after that time frame, then please reply back and let us know.

    Again, we're are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    So... I'm guessing beginning of December is now giving way to possibly spring...

    At least I didn't get the "they began to dispatch at the beginning of December" form letter...

As of right now, the Vinyls have been sent out but we did not actually keep track of to who, but it is on the process of being shipped, shopped, or chopped. We have not received any details to an exact date to when they will start shipping. Not to worry, a shipping confirmation email will be sent to qualifying subscribers as soon as this special gift hits the mail. We use a very accurate system comparing subscriber names in the “Verified Scam” Master Ticketing System that we use for concert presales! Please be advised it can take from 4-6 years for domestic orders to be processed, printed and shipped. International orders can take 6-8 years depending on the shipping time. If you do not receive your items after that time frame, then please reply back and let us know. Or just send Gary Osbum an email. He really cares. And your Atlanta GA ticket?
