1. Great stuff, it would have been very poor on there part if they had held firm with refusing to change it.
  2. I'm really looking forward to this (2019) subcribers gift! Got my mail yesterday to resubscribe, did it straight away....of course! Next time to renew will be the end of January 2020!

So I'm certainly looking forward to this one.

I do find it odd though that a band which built its reputation on live performance only releases recordings publicly in a visual format, and keeps the auditory version for its fan club. Seems like a lost opportunity to me.

Probably don't want to be seen as 'greedy'.

  4. They also released Live from MSG with the JT deluxe.Live albums on their own are not big sellers anymore maybe in the 70s and 80s but not now however they could make available a few shows from each tour to download or hard copies via their website a lot of bands seem to do that nowadays.

We have to look at the Pearl Jam model for this. When they started in early 90's it seemed to bother the band to no end that inferior recordings were circulating without their permission or express written consent. For whatever reason, bootlegs seemed to thrive in Europe as opposed to the US where people take their intellectual rights much more seriously than anywhere else in the world.

So PJ decide to professionally record every show from the soundboard and sell it as a 'reasonable' price. This not only quashes inferior product but allows them to collect another income from bootlegs. Fans buy it up like crazy but I can't feel the whole thing was a case of a bit of overload. You could literally spend your entire life collecting PJ audio. Anyone?

Springsteen does the same thing. It'll be nice to download the shows you visited as a souvenir though
  8. Congrats! Perseverance is the way to go with these people.
  9. Actually the best ones are the ones in which are compilation of rarities.
  10. Nice to read, SJ
  11. I have every single Pearl Jam and Bruce official bootleg/archive they have released and most of the Metallica ones too. If U2 ever did the official boot thing I would gladly get every one of those as well. I love live music and that is what I listen to 90-95% of the time.
