1. It may happen because many of us agree that this release is epic.
  2. I think when the new albums start slowing down or stop altogether then more live stuff will appear. Not expecting loads but the odd release every now and then.
  3. I find it odd why a great live band like U2 don't release more live material officially.

Put it on streaming services. Nobody watches the DVD.

Maybe they are just saving the live stuff up for there retirement. They’ve got a strategy that does make sense and work in releasing the new tour on dvd, something that I do watch time and again, and offering the audio on the fanclub. I would say that covers the more essential stuff in letting us see and hear a live version of the majority of there work to go along with the studio albums. I know and understand why a lot of us as fans want more, but the limited amount of live releases at this point while they’re still releasing new material makes sense.

I worry that it's less about this and more about U2 (Bono) being far too judgmental on their past resulting in an unwillingness to release anything for fear of somehow tarnishing their legacy. Of course we all know that's bullshit, but judging by the way Bono talks about their past output, I wouldn't be surprised.

Paul: "We should release a DVD of the New Years Point Depot 1989 show, it'd be nostalgic for a lot of people and it would make you some good money."

Bono: "No, we were embarrassing in that era of the band and I'd HATE for people to see that now."
  6. Is that an internal dialogue between the real person and the stage persona?
  7. Paul = Paul McGuiness
  8. I'm still waiting for the U2 3D release on 3D Bluray. Ok I can dream.
  9. I hope they'll release something on Netflix. New material or old. From the Sky down would be great.
  10. It was a joke. I knew who was meant, but found it funny considering Bono's real name.

Besides I don't think Paul McGuinness has anything to do with the band now right? I wonder if he still was if some of these things we complain about would be happening. Probably but who knows.
  11. I know they’ve included vertigo on every live release since the song came out but I’m kind of hoping they include it somehow as a bonus maybe from one of the later shows in Europe. I’ve heard some of the audience recorded versions and I love hearing the way Bono says “walk some Spanish down the hall, walk some Spanish down the hall”. I don’t know. I like the different intros they do for the song. I personally put it up there with the songs from Boy.
