    Brilliant, thanks a lot
  2. maybe they intend to market another concert!

  3. A VHS / DVD from a TJT-87 show would be a nice gift. But not a current show. Did you understand the difference? This is the point. Today, most TV's have superior technology than 20, 30 years ago.
  4. I regretfully agree that technology is superior and it is usually best to upgrade.

In fact it wouldn’t be at all strange if u2 have taken note of this and decide to make all future releases dvd only with a higher format only available digitally. Physical sales continue to decline every year and blu Ray is always below dvd, 4K isn’t anywhere near dvd for sales. The band can’t release something just because of technological advancements they have to sell what people want to buy.

Hi deanallison. So, I agree that sales decreased a lot, but it is a natural fit in the market. I don't believe that some types of media will simply disappear. As the vinyl hasn't disappeared, although I have the latest gifts (Live at Marquee, and Singles TJT), but I still haven't heard them because I don't have a vinyl record player. But I will still have one of these. But in audiovisual, we have to keep up with current technology, because as a collector, I want to see a concert, not just now, but keep it for life.
  6. In fact ... all of this are orders of Princess Greta Padmé (Attention, there is always a Palpatine in the shadows), who ordered that all releases now be only on DVD, as BluRay media take much longer to disappear from the nature of the planet .
  7. May the force be with us ! so !

    Queen Greta

  9. First Greta banned BluRays, then she banned streaming, then she banned speech.
  10. I'm alright with this gift, as long as they do not release another physical version of it. If they do, it was sort of a waste of time to put this out to the fanclub. I have a 4k player and it plays DVD and Blu Ray also. My 4k TV and the player upscale the quality some. So while it wont look as perfect as 4K or even Blu Ray it will still look fine to me.
I typically am able to watch the official concert releases once, maybe twice anyway. I think an audio CD and download of the full show would have been better but it is still a cool gift IMO.
  11. Coldplay is already afraid and will not tour anymore. Cool Greta, it's Greta Van Fleet. The salvation of rock n roll. Help me, please!!! kkkk

Yes the new TV´s have a function called DualScale, which increase the quality of both DVD´s and BluRays. And I think just like you, if they turned this into a gift, it will not be released commercially. It would be like calling fools subscribers. I signed until 2017. And unfortunately, this will encourage the piracy, as many fans will download and burn on Nero.
