Generally, younger fans being more energetic? Never!
  2. Yeah but us oldies have been there... done that... and can't do it anymore lol.

Well a little, but it gets tougher when you're hurtling at lightspeed towards the big five zero, and things stop working like they used to .

Well obviously. Most their fans are probably 50+ now.
  4. Nice cynical remark. yes, that's probably a reason, but it's also a different kind of audience in other ways. More of those 'event people', people ticking U2 of their bucketlist (I don't think E&I was the best tour to do that) . There are many reasons to think of for the changing audience. Ticketprices, social media and everything that comes with it. For sure I wasn't in the best block, I think Barcelona 3rd tier had better atmosphere. Anyway, it was a good show and it's a great video. But that audience on fire? Maybe certain parts. Usually fire is spreading fast, didn't see that happening. Maybe the rescheduling had something to do with that. Now it was a combination of a lot of the die hards wanting to see the last show and some of the (local) casuals coming back for maybe just another concert.
  5. Well, I was there with my friend (his first U2 concert, he is 25), and he was shocked by how wild ppl got. We were seated (how ever, everybody was dancing - the whole arena). Anyway, I was even more shocked, when I saw the DVD - it looks like there was no atmosphere and that ppl were almost bored I don't know how is it possible, but the DVD does not reflect the reality of the crowd that night
  6. I've honestly been shocked and impressed by how many young people I've seen at the recent shows I went to.

  7. Introduced my girlfriend to U2 with that gig.
We're both 25 and she loved whole show, crowd and atmosphere.
So, i think fana below 50+ are still ready to go, and witness our boys.

Funny, I had seats at almost the same spot that night. I have been to many shows of our boys so far and I thought the crowd was really giving it all that night.
I was almost disappointed when I saw the video. It looks completly different that I have it in my memory. People were singing all the songs very loudly and dancing a lot.
Sad that, that doesn't come across on the film. But as a person who attended the concert I can tell you for sure that the atmosphere was great in Berlin.
  9. There were a lot of youngsters at the Aussie shows too.
  10. Dvd is on it's way to NL, got shipping notification email.
  11. Interestingly (most won't care but to me it is) the 2 channel PCM track is mastered "hotter" than the 5.1 channel track (mixed down to 2 channels).
