Let's update this as of July 1st 2015. Many of these boots remain as my favourites from their tours

Note: "Best" bootleg, as in "best MIX of band performance, bootleg sound, audience participation AND personal attachement to the show".

Best Early Days / Boy bootleg: 1981-02-12 The Hague
Best October bootleg: 1982-02-11 New Orleans
    Best War bootleg: 1982-12-06 London
Best Unforgettable Fire bootleg: 1985-02-05 Bologna
Best Joshua Tree bootleg: 1987-07-08 Brussels
    Best Lovetown bootleg: 1989-12-30 Dublin
Best Zoo TV bootleg: 1993-08-28 Dublin
    Best Popmart bootleg: 1997-11-14 Miami
    Best Elevation bootleg: 2001-09-01 Slane
    Best Vertigo bootleg: 2009-12-09 Honolulu
Best 360 bootleg: 2010-09-26 San Sebastián
    Best I+E bootleg: 2015-06-29 Chicago
Best Various Dates bootleg: 1987-11-11 San Francisco

Some might change (360 is a close tie between San Sebastián and Zurich, Lovetown a tie between Dublin3 and Rotterdam4 for example) but these are unvariably some of the best -if not THE best- bootlegs for me.
But Sergio, the bootleg for Elevation Slane has very poor sound. You said you're also considering this in your assessment (official releases don't count).

  2. You mean a recount of our favorite bootlegs per era now (the year 2015), or a vote of 2015 shows only?
  3. A recount of favorite bootlegs per era.

The "basic/best/essencial/top/suggested" bootlegs thread that pops up every other month apparently and that I understand there's several threads of those around...

I think it would be great to have an updated thread with everybody suggesting only one (or at least no more than 3) bootlegs per era, notes welcome (as in reasoning behind your votes) but no discussion, you just have 1 single post in that thread with your favourite bootlegs and that's it. No additional posts. No regrets or second thoughts.

Maybe just have the first post updated with a recount of the votes.

That would be a great thread for newcomers (I know I was looking for something like that when I first came arrived in here), they can be just pointed out to that thread that contains the specific suggestions of everybody and it could be a new thread every year, so it's "updated" with whatever new bootlegs are uploaded and/or in case you changed your mind.

Anyway, this one sounds very similar to what I'd been thinking, so I thought I could suggest it.
