I'm a huge fan of U2 and have been lurking around this awesome site for a while now. i have downloaded some bootlegs. congrats to the people working on this site, you do a great job!

I've been a fan since i was about 13 (i'm now much older). went to my first u2 concert last year in auckland, best concert ever!
My fav albums are probably joshua tree and achtung baby, fav dvd is slane. havent got hold of joshua tree delux version yet, went to 2 shops today and they only had the cd
i did notice a lot of people on this forum are quite young (14-17), i dont really know anyone that age who is into u2.

    Welcome here!!
  2. Hi, thanks for that, diddnt really want to steal the limelight tho!!

LOL! I wish I was still training, that would mean I was still young!! I've been qualified for 8 years now; worked in mixed (large and small animal) practice for 2 years then just small animal for the last 6. I'm best at and prefer surgery the most so I'm sort of specialising in it - well, trying too anyway. Thanks for your confident support!!

I'd be more than happy to give you any pointers that could be useful to you, just ask away. Either pop them on here or send me a PM, whichever suits you (I don't know much about the course in NZ of course, but it can't be that different!.........)

To answer your question I prefer orthopaedics, but I like soft tissue too. Fixing bones just usually has a more certain and defined outcome!

Oh really? (well thats embarrassing) LOL thats amazing you are really living me dream right now
Ive had a bit of experience in the clinic as its a prerequisite here to get into the course and i must say the small animal unit was just so much more interesting but i must say the large animal you really have to get down and dirty (thats what i experienced anyway)

WOW you would really do that? That means so much to me I'll keep it in mind and im sure the course wouldnt be too different! you really brought a smile to my face and its great to know that there are people out there who have the same interests as me.. U2 and Vet
Keep in touch and i wish you Good luck again
  5. You're welcome. Glad you're spending time at a clinic as there's no other way of getting the experience. It will be invaluable to you later on too (might explain why some Kiwi vets are better straight out of Uni than some British ones....)

Will definitely stay in touch; you know where to find me!!
  6. PS Is it not exceedingly late at night in New Zealand?? Are you off college or something?!

You're so right! honestly just watching the procedures that some of the vets go through, even nasty dental operations im just fascinated with it, so hopefully my enthusiasm will get me through because honestly my brains arent the most brightest (hence that awesome english just there)
lol will do my friend! hope to talk to you more often, id love to hear about any of your vetting experiences!

p.s not too late over in NZ when i posted first was about 7am
its now 9:15pm though on summer break, for about 3months (YES!) so into my first semester in february!

Have you been accepted into Uni or is that still to come? Getting in is the tough bit; once you're there if you can do college exams Uni will be no problem. And you'll be motivated because it's the thing you want to do.

Where do I start with my vetting experiences............
Farmer who's eyebrows caught on fire with the disbudding tongs
or the lady who felt it necessary to show me where her guinea pig had been scratching - her breast reduction operation scars........

    there's many more

    ps
so that makes you 11 hours ahead. It was Thursday already for you when I posted on Wednesday night here. Crazy

    Hi Aidan

Not a lot, same topics still going. I put one up about Bono using an autocue which is some funny reading.

    Good to see you back
  12. If nobody mentioned, our actual status feature. Very good.

Instead of having the default status (Mirrorball Man, Wild Honey...) you can have any Status you want. Just change your location to say what you want. We had some funny ones - one of mine was we were talking about U2 at Kmart for the POPmart Press Conference, and I changed mine to "Not In K-Mart". I think Remy liked the idea too.
