That is reinventing. Originally posted by LikeASong[..]Well... Reinventing is making something not done before. And I don't think any concert has been shown on a cinema yet. That is reinventing.

Concerts have been shown in cinemas before. And Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygène-gig from Antwerp for example was filmed and shown in3D.
Something not done before?

Yeah, but it was filmed with ordinary 2D cameras and then turned to 3D, as 3D films are made today. U23D will be the first LIVE 3D movie ever filmed with 3D cameras, not with 2D and then turned to 3D.

It was filmed with HD-3D cameras.
Even if u2's 3d movie was the the first one (maybe it is technically, I know nothing about 3D), I still don't see how this is a revolution on cinema. It won't have a major effect.

So everone including film journalists, experts, and people hwo knows film industry better then me you and me are just blowing in the wind while saying this will be revolution?
es, I don't believe that a 3D concert will reinvent cinema. None of your so called film journalists and experts talked about a revolution, btw. There have been movies in Real D before, animations, now a concert. How will this very release set new standards for cinema (that's what "reinvent" cinema means to me)?
