on first listen it's better than SA; much fresher and less bland.
Police Station, Even You Brutus and Brendan's Death Song get my vote. not gonna listen again until i get my physical copy though 'coz i don't want to overplay it too soon!
Just gave most of the songs a first listen and I'm glad I have tickets for the Rotterdam show in October!...Especially the bass lines of Flea are great! Liked it all together but think the songs need to grow on me more. Will definitely happen when I'm listening it more often in the upcoming weeks.
it was really good actually. they played the whole album (minus Even You Brutus, for reasons unknown) and ended up playing Did I Let You Know twice, because Flea was unhappy with the first rendition. Me and My Friends and Give It Away were played at the end as well.
they were all in great, talkative form and nailed every song. Josh is actually a killer guitar player!
