Originally posted by LikeASongIt was a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y AWESOME. My parents and me went to a very special pub called El Espantatrenes (The Train Scarer) for the whole night. The owner, who is a friend of my uncle, is the DJ, and he uses to play "our" music, U2, Dire Srtaits, Led Zeppelin, etc. while projecting live videos on the 80' screen of the pub.
Well, that night music was being too romanic and slow and I told him, 'Hey, why not giving a quick change to this stuuf?' ... He winked to me and said, 'No worries, just wait a few minutes'. When "What A Wonderful World" (Louis Armstrong) ended, there was a 20 second silence-gap. Then, a quick fade in and a flash with the pub lights gave the entrance for Where The Streets Have No Name live from SLANE!!!! We jumped all around, sang, screamed and were exhaust at the end.... It was like being again on a U2 show. AWESOME.
Later in the night he played New Year's Day (obviously, 1st January, NYD...), Bullet The Blue Sky (live from Paris), a few Dire Straits (Tunnel Of Love, Lady Writer and Sultnas Of Swing) and The Police (Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, So Lonely, Bring On The Night and Message In A Bottle) songs and, as the last song of the night, All I Want Is You. It was incredible, probably the best NYEve of my whole life so far
