What hell would he think be relevant then?? That person "yeah" is a very very demanding person.
More irritating than an insect.

He probably means that he didn't like the last two albums. I feel the same way: they're just straight-up rock records that tend a lot to pop, without any experimentation or anything daring at all. Now most of you like that, but I prefer records with lots of experimentation. You should always try to make something that has never been done before, or at least something that you as a band have never done before and that doesn't look too much like your previous album.

RDB82 nearly understood what I meant. I don't expect anything groundbreaking from every new album but the last 2 albums just don't do it for me. They are solid Pop albums but nothing special. The lyrics were cheesy and weak, the music some kind of safety concept. And that's why they're not relevant to me. I just think U2 are over the top. That's okay because they are still playing solid music, but I don't get excited about a new album anymore.
Although there's still hope in me![]()

define experimental first of allwhat exactly do you guys expect? achtung baby 2? wouldn't be experimental nor new, cos they've been there.
but most importantly (imo) I think u2 found their sound by now, I'd be somewhat disappointed if they threw that away and went totally gaga with something new that's not them.
