It's always the same on the dawn of a new U2 release, At the end of the day 3% turn out as true.

Remember what was said about the Bomb before it was released? The tracklist for example?
Or the 'official' 2002 summer tour?

btw. got your tix for Rotterdam already?

i can tell bullshit from reality...you make a strong arguement. however thats your opinion. however thats the past. to go and base something off the past like that is ridiculous IMO.

plus 67% of percentiles are made up on the spot

Learning from the experiences one has made is not ridiculous imho.

the matter is whether someone is idiotic enough to believe stuff like a 2002 tour or not.

however a 2009 tour is believable, as is No Line on the Horizon

Why was believing in a 2002 tour idiotic? Dates seemed to be fixed, Band members talked about a tour, reliable ticket services mentioned it...
    Just one quote of many:
After their massive haul of eight Grammy nominations last week, U2 could be lining up a summer tour of Europe. Speaking to Reuters agency, U2 manager Paul McGuinness said that summer dates were a possibility

Not being funny Steve, but it's not that idiotic when you think that the band had started recording after ATYCLB, so 2002 wasn't entirely implausible...remember, the album was pushed back after Chris Blackwell dropped out, or whoever it was producing to begin with. They essentially started everything from scratch didn't they? halfway through the original recording sessions...

Plus, the way the chorus is sung makes my toenails curl.

how can you say SYCMIOYO has no climax? Bono's big note in that song is any kind of climax if there ever was one. SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING...don't think they have a bad song

    Some people are broken.

As for the 2002 tour idea... U2 DID consider a summer 2002 after they'd finished with Elevation in Miami in December 2001... instead, they opted for releasing the Best of 1990-2000 and to go begin a new record - that ended up being HTDAAB

You're mixing up 2 songs there. I didn't lose a word on Sometimes you can't make it... (even though it's one of their weaker songs, too)

so what exactly is a "strong song" then?

    sorry if Im off topic

...and they shouldnt have replaced Bad on the last leg of Zoo TV... one of U2s best songs they wrote
...one of the reasons why i cant watch Live from Sydney...
