Not being funny Steve, but it's not that idiotic when you think that the band had started recording after ATYCLB, so 2002 wasn't entirely implausible...remember, the album was pushed back after Chris Blackwell dropped out, or whoever it was producing to begin with. They essentially started everything from scratch didn't they? halfway through the original recording sessions...

I think it's just boring. No climax, no change, nothing. The lyrics are the typical 00's Kitsch.
Plus, the way the chorus is sung makes my toenails curl.

how can you say SYCMIOYO has no climax? Bono's big note in that song is any kind of climax if there ever was one. SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING...don't think they have a bad song

    Some people are broken.

As for the 2002 tour idea... U2 DID consider a summer 2002 after they'd finished with Elevation in Miami in December 2001... instead, they opted for releasing the Best of 1990-2000 and to go begin a new record - that ended up being HTDAAB

You're mixing up 2 songs there. I didn't lose a word on Sometimes you can't make it... (even though it's one of their weaker songs, too)

so what exactly is a "strong song" then?

    sorry if Im off topic

...and they shouldnt have replaced Bad on the last leg of Zoo TV... one of U2s best songs they wrote
...one of the reasons why i cant watch Live from Sydney...

two hearts? That must be a weak one. Their first half cheesy love song. Sounds ok tho. And u still like bullet after all this time?
  9. Yep, I'll admit that the Two Heart lyrics are a little cheesy - but from time to time I can live with that. The music is great, though, and I absolutely adore the way they do the 'I can't stop to dance' part live.
Bullet is one of the few classics I never got tired of for some reason. It has a different feel on every tour for me...

musicaly two hearts is very agreeable. Bullet was tolerable up until the big V where it seemed to lose its power. A little bit bland and a song that the band should have continued to rework. Next tour maybe. . .

Yep, Bullet was always a spectacle up until Vertigo, but I do like the Hands of America snippet they always built into it.

@ Yeah, you said look at your profile for some examples of strong U2 songs, I personally don't think one can argue that Miami is a better song that SYCMIOYO or Stuck In A Moment lol, but no matter

I suggest NOT playing Bullet on the next tour. It really is time for new sequences. We don't want the next tour to sound like a 'greatest hits' tour, do we??
The "No line on the Horizon tour" will have to be new, fresh, exciting!

By the way, we're a little off topic........
