  3. Someone over on u2achtung claims that he had the chance to listen to some new songs while the groupe celebrated Edge's birthday in Eze. He describes one track as a mixture of Vertigo and Lady with the spinning head, 'Moment of Surrender' as a ballad with similarities to Stuck and the songs in general as pretty similar to the last 2 albums.

Up to you to judge it.

shit. Pretty hard to believe if it's true and also very hard to take. It,s seriously test my faith in the band if this albums no good (or good but similar to everything else)

Could be could not be, there's some logic in this but also some strange aspects...

Anyway, even if we assume that it's all true, that doesn't say a lot. Not being innovative or revolutionnary doesn't mean that the new album is bad. If it goes in the same musical direction as the last 2 albums with enhanced lyrics and the addition of some other influences it might be a decent album.
The bells would have to go, though...

I liked ATYCLB and HTDAAB, so I would hope for that...They would put Mercy in it, a HTDAAB track, so it would make any sense...

I actually consider both albums as pretty weak in U2 standards. But I think it's possible to evolve something from that base...
  9. Yep, sounds good - like Hold me, thrill me...
    Bono sounds horrible, though.
