    I heard that too, McGuiness said that they were planning something like that. I like the idea. Double album would be cool... or maybe they bring out one album and during the tour another album like Zooropa
  3. kind of sucks that we have to wait longer, but damn, it surely sounds worth the wait ....maybe it will be a double album....surely by November/December we should know more official details....assuming it's out in January, which is what it sounds like......ah fuck it i'm completely excited!

  5. true....but Bono said they want to make an impression very early on....I would say February at the latest.....although going by their history, March would be the safe bet....I believe that's usually when they release albums in the first of the year, e.g., Pop

    finally!!! some official news about the album!!

    I was really hoping to have something new this year... but as Bono says: ‘We know we have to emerge soon but we also know that people don’t want another U2 album unless it is our best ever album. It has to be our most innovative, our most challenging … or what’s the point ?’

    that gives me the chills.... so Rock on fellas!!
  9. Finally some real news. It seems they're really on fire lately...50-60 songs isn't bad at all. Agree with Gerard, loads of B-sides coming...And I hope it won't be a double album, that just sucks. RHCP did the same with Stadium Arcadium. Good songs on these discs, but if they had put all the good songs on one CD, they would have had the album of the year title.

    I can wait till early 2009...Red Rocks is coming, UABRS...no need to be impatient.

    yeah i don't necessarily hope for a double album, with so much material I wonder if they will stick to the traditional 11 / 12 songs or shoot for a longer tracklist......and yeah UABRS will keep us busy and then we'll have the official announcement by the end of the year hopefully

    Steven was right....we did get an announcement on September 3

    Might be just some window-dressing too, you're right about that. On the other hand, if they really started recording without a sort of scheme/plan, I like it. Just start and see where it ends.
