  2. Ahhhhh I see where you're getting at. I didn't come across anything about Bono saying 50-60 songs but I'll take your word for it. No wonder they've taken 4 years ...

    I think I agree with you on their seeming dissatisfaction of the music. But if they wait another full year and two months to release the material they will have been working on for two and a half years--plus all this Bono-talk--I see no reason why it shouldn't be the next JT or AB. If that's the timeline, and all we get is Bomb Part II--that's not just a disappointment, but I think a cause for some real anger from fans.


    Nah it won't be HTDAAB Part II. I think they know they can't do that.

    The 50 to 60 songs quote is in the U2.com article from today. Funny thing is that last year in July Adam said they have recorded 30 to 40 songs already with Eno and Lanois. Does that make another 20 songs for the 12 months in between?
  5. i had a feeling U2 were working on a double album....dont care what y'all say. They want this to really be their best if they're delaying the album, especially after they said it was "done".

    Im also pissed i have to wait longer...oh well

    They've shot material, whether it is for a videoclip or something else. A bit strange if a single comes out in early 2009. Too many speculations for me...I'll see what happens.

    Depending on which way you look at it, that's bad going or pretty impressive by U2 standards I haven't checked U2.com for a while though...

    i guarentee they take the cream of the crop, polish off what they chose, and release a masterpiece. Thats what the Who did with Quadrophenia in 1973......about 60 songs too lol

    Everyone is a bit pissed but they're optimistic too. They delay because they wanna make it perfect


    or because they are stuck in a moment.
  10. It clearly must be the feeling that the music just isn't good enough. If you have put together what you believe to be your absolute best album and throw comments around linking it of AB and JT the first thing you are gonna do is press it and sell it. If the music is that good why hold back?
