1. thank you lol
  2. From an Interference post:

"A good friend was at the event in Half Moon Bay. As the newspaper account said, it was the annual meeting for Elevation.

They played 2 tracks off of the new album and spoke about the creative / song writing process. Bono and Edge were being interviewed (a la a fireside chat) by a music journalist (my friend didnt recall who the journalist was). They did say at the event the album would be out "in the early part of 2009"

Elevation's limited partners (ie, the people who give Bono and Roger McNamee and the group their money - usually endowments and pension fund managers) were in the room.

Despite working closely with Elevation, my friend is shockingly/disappointingly not a huge U2 fan so he didnt have much detail on the new songs that were played over the PA system other than to say they were "mid-tempo" and sounded "cool".

As an aside, Bono supposedly is pretty active at Elevation - including dialing in to their weekly investment review call on Mondays...even when he is on tour.

The whole thing lasted a couple of hours."

    From a while ago...

I stumbled upon this searching for my crazy predictions from when I was a mere Babyface. Dancer/Denser, same difference. Or at least to the Killers' Human, that is.

  5. originally i was gonna say something right at that moment....but i said to myself, why not push it a few weeks so its plausible. should i post predictions more often so we get more news? mere coincidences, but funny it was two days after my post

really though. concept album???? i wonder who called that....

So, I then learned the Who are working on a non-conventional Who album. Odd, since my favorite band always had a theme in their music.

That got me to think this:
Wait, so if they're not a theme band, then why did rmann83 list a common theme in all the songs pertaining to their album? Are U2 going to work on a rock opera (just throwing that out there).

rock opera....story. all the same bullshit to me.

Would be very cool as a Who fan to see this, but disappointing as a U2 fan. I'm torn in two.

I hope it's a concept album. I'm getting into a lot of those lately, and there haven't been too many recently...

And yes, that's him. Watch La Haine if you get the chance. Amazing movie.

He played small role in "The Kite Runner", one of my top5 films ever.

BTW U2's "Kite" could be soundtrack for "The Kite Runner", stories of both are so similar, incredible.

  9. For Your Love sounds mid-tempo, strange how some afwul-sounding beach clip can become a possible favourite tune.
  10. Anyone remembers McGuinness talking about U2's new album cover? Maybe he was talking about thing called e-ink: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-ink

How does this work in reality? Video:

Fuckin' awesome if you ask me.

  11. This is just BRILLIANT!!!!
I wonder.... is this technology expensive??? how long does the "battery" lasts??? (if it uses any!!)

    I'm fecking excited!!
I can't wait any longer.... and thinking that we may have to wait 'till January or near to hear at least a single..... makes me MORE anxious!!!! hahaha!!
thanks for sharing this Yogi!! I hope our fellas are working on something like it for the new cover!!!
