1. Maybe I'm getting excited when I hear some new tunes. At this moment I'm just... waiting.
  2. I'm just as excited, but containing it better and just waiting it out. But I'm definitely still excited
  3. Any new live stuff is welcome but im bored of big boats, private parties, scantly clad ladies and political stuff. If this album isnt unreal in its brilliance then im gonna have to find a new interest. Hell i'd even go to see Oasis at Slane. Theres always Brussels to keep me interested thpugh . . .
  4. I'm starting to think we'll never hear any new stuff

I hear you. I think this should be there last album anyway, make a tour and then bye bye.
Apart from that, right now with the surprisingly good Oasis album (+tour), the new Snow Patrol and the ongoing Coldplay tour, I wouldn't even have time for new U2.
  7. I'll always have time for U2. I'm just hoping they can deliver but i'm filled with doubt.

  8. Don't agree there, I think this should be there second last album and tour. There can be one more album and tour in 2013, but after that they should stop, they're just too old then. I really can't understand why they've signed a 12 year-contract with Live Nation. You shouldn't tour when you're in your sixties.

  9. why not? if they feel fit and still inspired enough to come up with something good, I'm all for it
  10. The upcoming album shall determine if another should follow. Only fair

I don't think this is a matter of age. There are enough examples of aged singers/groupes who put on fantastic shows. Just a matter of passion to me.

My "hope" that the new release is their last, comes from another perspective and my personal perception.
To me, their last 2 albums were...well...soso.
Now if they release another mediocre album, I would prefer them to quit rather than pulling down their own monument.
If they release another masterpiece, they can quit at the top of the game, which would be the best possible goodbye.

That and it becomes harder and harder for me to bear with Bono.

  12. Bono already looks old at the end of the fourties, imagine him being 65 or something...
Instead of calling their last album 'Man' they might call it 'Grandfather' or something..
