1. now that is awesome!!!! finally something.....something about this new albums look.

Leather + a cooler (colder sort of) look. Maybe thats the blue behind him though. I think Zoo TV's coolness is back? Maybe, I would love that.

  2. he definitely looks cool! hopefully we hear more about this....and I would hope that the rest of the band was there (?)
  3. He looks pretty damned cool in the video, even if it's just a green screen.

This could even be for the new cover. Remember how it was said the cover would be something amazing and different - maybe the green screen has something to do with it.
  4. This looks great. Give me the new single NOW!

Well, Edge, Bono and Adam wore leather jackets on the Dismantle cover, didn't they? That looks rings a bell to me (don't misunderstand me, I love it!).

Not again. The back of How To Dismantle would have been better as the front cover, and the front as the back cover. The back photo looks like they're actually trying to find something, like trying and dismantling an atomic bomb, or possibly Edge's stolen CD or Bono's briefcase, whereas the front looks like they said "Ah fuck it, I can't find the bloody bomb. I'm gonna take a rest." Certainly not my favourite cover of any album in recent times.

Still, the use of black, red and white was a pretty cool colour scheme for everything (and matched the theme of the album).
  7. I think Edge is jumping on the hype train, when he agrees with Bono that the record is going to be a JT to AB departure. That is just plain wrong. We have heard 5 of the songs and from them the albums sounds like an evolution of the HTDAAB/ATYCLB sound with some AB thrown in. The boys like their album trilogies remember.

It's not going to be a "dream it up all over again" kind of record, innovative maybe, but a reinvention U2 are going to reinvent into what ... hip hop? death metal? classical?

I hope the Edge doesn't truly believe that, it would be a worry, hopefully he is just marketing the new album like his PR people want him to.
