1. So new info we've got:

-new song title:" Unknown Caller" -- from the Fez sessions
-the Rick Rubin songs from 2006 have been shelved and won't be on the album
-working album title is No Line on the Horizon
-tentative release date is in February (although that's not actually stated by Edge directly in the interview)

  2. It's a great interview and added to the timeline thread - finally some questions which have some substance to them! If he's able to talk about the sessions and other stuff so freely and unrestricted, it makes you wonder if the album is going to be released very soon.

And Bono's been taking piano lessons!
  3. I'm still wondering about the Kings of Leon support act rumours. They're probably just that - rumours.

  4. it really doesn't make much sense for U2 to support Kings of Leon, does it? There's no way at this stage of U2's established career any band could take the stage after them.

"Reliable sources" aren't reliable unless they've got "Offical U2" or "Live Nation" attached to them, I guess.

I'm excited to hear Moment of Surrender. Seven and a half minutes of a studio song?
  5. It'd better be a damned good seven and a half minutes. Though I have songs which go for 45 minutes and Pink Floyd can make songs of 15 minutes at minimum.
  6. Whoa, the best interview on new album so far!!
  7. The effect is interesting, but what he actually plays isn't, it's a bit repetitive and doesn't go anywhere. But perhaps it's just him toying around with a new effect, and not a solo in progress, so it's all good.

It's good that they set aside, the Rick Rubin material, and started fresh, keeps the album cohesive. I hope the cut Moment Of Surrender down from 7 1/2 minutes to something more manageable.
  8. Great interview, loads of information. Moment of Surrender seems cool, but I'm not convinced until I heard it.

Seven and a half-minutes? Now that's got me excited; more of this please, and less 3 and a half minute throwaway songs like "All because of you".

Thanks too for the article - brilliant bit of new info!!
  10. that interview gave us some awesome new info + the new video makes me all super excited again.
  11. 7,5 minutes....what song was 7 minutes before?

    LEMON!
