I don't think it needs much re-working. I really love it. One of the best songs they've recorded in the last 10 years. I think it really would have strenghtened How To Dismantle...

The first part of the song is good, but I get bored at the 2nd part. A lot of Bono-yelling and it somehow looks like they didn't know where the song would lead to.

That's what I kind of like about it.

Yeah, I love it too, but it could be better looking at Bono's voice...if he nails it it can be the new BD

Because that is one great song in progress.

Supposedly Clip 1 is NLOTH, but I don't recall what that's even based on. When the clips first surfaced, i think some people thought they heard "no line on the horizon" in the lyrics somewhere.

I'm wondering if clip 1 is that new song that Edge mentioned in MOJO, "Unknown Caller." Both that song and the clip are from the Fez sessions, and some of the lyrics we've figured out go something like, "There's a number...you know the name...so shout it out."

    But who knows?

Did anyone see the new interview wtih Edge's mother? She syas the boys hope the album will be out in February: http://www.fingal-independent.ie/lifestyle/gwenda-more-than-just-a-famous-mother-1554189.html

In the picture they give of her, you can definitely see the resemblance in Edge.

  7. I was thinking the beach clip with the lyric that sounds like "You know the name, so call it out" was Moment of Surrender. From what I've heard of Breathe (think that was featured in a U2.com clip recently), I think it's going to rock live.

I think clip 1 has been called every working title so far. The lyrics haven't been properly deciphered yet to pick out any of the title names, but some say they hear "moment of surrender" and other say they hear "no line on the horizon" in the lyrics. I guess we'll find out when the album comes out.

I think we had a few spotty lyrics figured out somewhere in the beach clip topic: http://www.u2start.com/topic/4280/

I share your opinion on Mercy, it's promising but in it's current form its no masterpiece.
Why can't you download the beach clips at home?

I can download stuff at home, but whilst at Uni. I don't live at home, and I'm on the uni. network and they're pretty damn picky about downloading and stuff like that. I don't know the complete rundown on what goes or not, but I'm not prepared to give it a go until I know either which way, and I mean I'm going home next weekend so I can do a shitload of downloading then which would make things easier. I had the beach clips on our main PC at home before I got a laptop, but that crashed a couple of weeks back and so I spent most of the last weekend I had at home downloading bootlegs by the dozen lol, and so I'll be getting the beach clips again aswell as god knows what else
