    Yes sir!
  3. I was thinking about what exactly would be on the new album so here's what we have so far:

    •Innovative, prob Achtung innovative
•Beach Clips (will they appeat or not)
•No Line On the Horizon (molten metal? All I know is I heard the lyric "I'll teach the world to love" and simply can't wait)
•November, November, November (we hope so...)
  4. just out of interest...how long before an albom actually comes out do we get a release date and first single??? I cant remember!!
  5. Anyone thinks that the remasters will delay the new album release ? or im being pessimistic

A few months (about four to five)? Check out this and see what I mean.

That proves how early some 'honest' sources can be, especially with respect to the first single of HTDAAB, which as we all know was Vertigo. Of course, it can be even earlier - management, news sources or others close to the session can drop hints at any given time either intentionally or accidentally, but they're not always accurate. If anyone remembers 'Solaris', then that's about how accurate that can be.

It would surprise me if the album was delayed because of it. But as I mentioned once before, the sound engineers just take the original analogue tapes, do a bit of mastering, upgrading and editing, maybe add some new songs that U2 management (and the band) want and approve of, and make new covers and inlays - and I don't think Edge's 'essays' take up all that much time - maybe a few hours. The cover designers would be a mob by the name of Four5One Ireland. I've absolutely no idea on the sound engineering company.

Again, an album can be delayed for any number of reasons, not just releasing remasters. How much time did the remasters and DVD release of Joshua Tree affect that November date we're being told?

In this era and age of *music*, I have yet to hear anything from any band or artist that would be classed as innovative. So we'll see what November (if) brings. The beach clips could have just been a quick warm-up session but elements may make up part of some songs - keeping in mind that two made up Window In The Skies, and one was a Strokes song.

I do like the newish style of Larry's drumming and what we heard from those small Irishteen clips. Yet, it again could have been distortion from the new kit or distortion from the tape recording - so it may not be as good as you think. I haven't heard anything more, this is all pure guesswork.

If anyone has read, some new details have emerged recently:

Bono had just finished playing me a demo track from their upcoming album, a song called "No Line on the Horizon" that he was inspired to slip into the CD player by the gorgeous white sunset settling over the surrounding mountains.

Bono looks back at the guitarist and says, "Edge -- look, it's 6 o'clock," and the two look from the green digits on the stereo to each other. Bono explains that numbers are significant in each of the new songs[/b], and slips in another CD that may be the first track on the album. It's opening lyric is, "It's six o'clock..."

I said, "Isn't it weird how certain numbers seem to turn up in our lives? It seems like this kind of thing is especially common kind of game with musical people, who must make numbers and patterns a part of their art." "Yeah, we like numbers," Bono says.

Again, that's going by the previous releases (ATYCLB, Pop, HTDAAB...). It could be saved right up until the exact release date.

Basically, they ruin the whole thing and then sell it as if it was something better than the originals.

Would you then happen to have the same opinion as me and go as far to say the *upgraded* sound quality of JT sucks big-time and sounds lifeless?

The DVD's pretty good though. I quite enjoyed it but there's like a green shade effect on certain songs like a magnet is near the camera.
