1. lol I dont think your the only one with those thoughts, besides I got an awful lot of pairs
So I feel quite disappointed lol
  2. great news!!!!
    girls?? boots?? marching???

    me liking it!!!
    hehe
  3. Good news, they won't shoot a video when the album isn't done yet, I think.

  4. I think the big news here is that I have new found psychic powers.......or im Bono in disguise!!

  5. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb was completed in July, and the video was shot a bit later. The video has to be shot when the album is done - how do they know exactly what is a good idea to film?
  6. Harry Crosbie: 'U2's Album is Best to Date'

U2's new album reminds me of the Beatles, says 02 chief

Dublin Evening Herald, December 12, 2008

He admits he's not the most impartial source, but Point Village owner Harry Crosbie is hailing U2's new album as their best to date.

The affable developer of the sprawling new O2 arena joined two of the band's stars in the venue last Sunday as Bono and the Edge filmed footage there for a new Ronnie Drew special.

And Harry, who has been friends with the superstar band for years, told the Diary how he was blown away when he heard material from their new album.

"I think it's the best thing they have ever done and I am not just saying that because they are my friends," he said.

"It is a stunning piece of creative work and, to me, it reminds me of the Beatles when they were at their best. It's a fabulous piece of work."

so, does that mean the album is in the style of the beatles (and thus window in the skies - like?) or as good/creative as a beatles' album?

    Thanks for this!
U heard the beach clips right?

  8. I only heard one of them and some at the studio doors (which didn't sound like the beatles at all).

  9. Thank God for that all I have to say lol
Im not always sure its a good thing to be praised for sounding like another band
Even if it IS Beatles, or Rolling Stones or whatever
An artist wants to have their own sound, well it would be the logical thing to think
Even if it might be nice compliment sometimes
But I didnt think it was very beatles esque either
U only heard one, theirs four on youtube with quite good sound if turn up the volume some
I could even make out some of the lyrics from one of them

I don't want to be spoiled that much, so I try getting around those samples
