    [..]

That release date comes from hmv. And everyone in the possession of 2 hands knows the approximate release date anyway (if U2 don't change their minds again). So why all the fuss?

EDIT: Someone on the german u2 board reports about meeting Paul McG at the Coldplay gigs in London (Photo included). She says that Pauly confirmed a European summer gig (Barcelona - end of June).

    Nice!!!
Sergio will be jumping around for a while then!!
    thanks for the news Yeah!!
So, do you think the O2 performance might have been the "News" we where expecting??? or do you still think it'll be album/single-related ???

I think (hope!) the news will still be album related.

I don't know if this site was already up, but U2Spain has a mini-site up for "No Line on the Horizon" that is currently under construction:

    http://u2spain.babelfm.com/nolineonthehorizon.html

There's couple of non-active links right now for CD and DVD play, so I wonder if we'll be getting snippets of tracks?

  3. Arg...its so hard to wait... I guess patience is a virtue...
  4. Still no news then. Perhaps when this album gets released it should be called Chinese Democracy.
  5. Fine with me if it's not crap music like that
  6. No News On The Horizon...

  7. No I think the next news will be: "We're so sorry, but we are trying to write a very beautiful song, and we so sorry, but can't release this album in 2009, but 2010 WILL BE THE YEAR OF U2!! (...)"

  9. U2Spain reports a postponement of publishing this announcement, whatever it is, on their site:

"We know that we had promised, but first we have to postpone an announced publication of new content, for reasons beyond our control. We keep working and hope to introduce the mini-flash on the new U2 album, "No Line on The Horizon," as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience or expectations that we have been able to create for this day.

While the mini remains inaccessible for a few days ... we will continue to report the latest news on the group, on time. In order not to fall into the error, the site will be accessible to the public without prior notice. Once available, you will know."

  10. Personally, I like this one, because of its clarity.....:
    (From u2wanderer.org):

" 2008-12-17: News / Releases > -> Rumors are swirling about an imminent announcement regarding the upcoming album, single, and tour. It wouldn't be inaccurate to assume that I couldn't exactly not say that is or isn't almost partially incorrect. On the contrary, I'm possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty do we have any solid information. [BH] "

    So now we know !

  11. come oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon
