About Rubin...he worked with Linkin Park on their Minutes To Midnight album. He gave them a more mature sound but it was directly linked to U2. Rubin has a specific sound but U2 should improve. That can't be done with Rubin, I think, although he was responsible for Electrical Storm.

See his work with the Peppers...changed drastically from 1991 to now...he probably had nothing to do with the sound. Maybe he helps woth the structure. I don't know about Linkin Park though.

He worked with the Peppers?? That's something I didn't know while I own every album since Californication. I don't like their early material...so actually Rubin made me like them lol

Not even tried some songs? I can't imagine that people dislike Wet Sand, Desecration Smile and Minor Thing. Real summer music for me..when the sun shines, I always put the Peppers on, together with U2.

Nope, anything I've ever listened to, I've disliked.

Yes...and the albums you own sound so different, it is hard to see something similar on them. He probably just lets the band do what they want...and gets the $$$ after they ser 38738738 million albums.

I couldn't resist looking for that....

    Psychedlic Pop? Nice.

Cant wait for the music videos.

African influences? Perhaps maybe African instruments used? I wouldnt mind that. U2 is making another left turn, ready to let go of the steering wheel for another go.
  11. from @U2....

U2 3D director Catherine Owens has been chosen to speak at SIGGRAPH 2008, which celebrates the art of computer graphics and interactive technology. The exhibition will take place in Los Angeles this August.

It is noted that Catherine is currently "working on a new body of drawings in her studio, where she is also creating content for the next U2 album and tour campaign."

So all you skeptics that say the 2009 tour isn't gonna happen may want to change your tune...

True...Californication is way different than Stadium Arcadium.
